You’ll get a warm welcome when you join Taunton Deane Labour Party!
Taunton Deane Labour Party has welcomed over 300 new members from all parts of the constituency since April last year, bringing our membership total to 550.
For many years we have held informal meetings to which all members are invited. We meet at the (wheelchair-friendly) Albemarle Centre, Albemarle Road, Taunton at 7.30 pm every third Wednesday of the month.
We know that some members don’t come to meetings because they think they don’t know enough to take part. We aim to make sure our meetings are not just welcoming, but are places where we learn more about politics, share knowledge and ideas and take an active part in Labour’s national policy-making process.
We welcome contributions to our discussions from members who have experience and knowledge of the services, and the issues that are important for a fair and equal society, such as education, housing, health and social care, transport, poverty, social security, employment and the economy.
If you are already a member, please do come along to one of our meetings – it would be great to see you, and hear your thoughts.
If you aren’t a member but want to make the world a better place for present and future generations, join us and join in!
